GAME ON!!!!!
Sunday, May 21st, 2006Well, yesterday was the first race of the season. The annual Spring Cup at Buck. wait wait, Spring Cup at Harmon Park. Buck hill will soon be no more for mt. bikers. This course is unlike the other MNSCS courses. Fast and lung burning, leg burning fun. It was looking to be a good race for the Comp/Expert class during the Sport race. However the clouds did move in and some sprinkles to start it off. But hey!!! whats the spring cup without some goofy ass weather. I was excited to see where I stand this spring. More training then ever. Well about a mile into me first lap(we did 5 5 mile laps) i lost my water bottle. Shit—I get dehidrated very easily, I was doomed. Being without water and very dusty conditions I had dirt in my throat that hurt me on the first lap. I got a new bottle from my dad start of me second lap but I could already feel the effects. It was a fast flat course and it was tough. I don’t mean to make excuses but I was so dehidrated that I was in a delerious state of mind that last lap and a half. I was seeing double. in a way i felt kinda stoned. fuck yea, gotta love it. I do have some work to do however. two weeks until the next race at Steeplchase which will be back to good ol’
climbing and more climbing. gonnta take today off then back in the saddle and tomorrow morning. I think ballbag and I are going to Lebanon Hills and ride for a few hours. So last night was Kubi’s birthday. Ripe ol’ age of 28. Happy B-Day chris. We went to Halftime Rec and drank a shit ton of Guiness and some car bombs. All in all we were all pretty lit up by the time we left for home. Brie smacked my glass outta my hand, broke on the ground, and cut open her leg. So yea, we pretty much left after that. Came home and then decided to drink a
wine. Not a good combo with a belly full of guiness and shots. Got some good pics of that up too!!! Yup, Brie’s back from her 4 month trip to Costa Rica. Nice to see her again. already had some hilarious nights. Should be a good night tonight. A bunch of wine, beer, some bean bags, and possibly a bonfire. Nothing like being with good company and good liquor. Relationships are such an interesting thing. They go up, down, left, right, and everything else in between. Ya think its all good in the hood and bam, you’re feelings take a 180 degree turn without even planning on it. Trial and error you could say. I dunno, its just been on my mind these past few days. Figuring out what I want in a relationship. Interesting shit. Ya dig deep to find out what you do and do not want. Funny thing, those relationships. Well, peeps are starting to show up so I’m off folks. Hope y’all had a good weekend. I know I did. Nothing like barely being able to stand up after riding you’re ass off for two hours. Time to DRINK. check y’all on the flip side. Love. Peace. and Bicycle grease.
