y’all know the ol’ saying…"beer before liquor you’ve never been sicker". Well I’d like to re-phrase that. "Beer before liquor you’ve never acted more like a moron". Yup this past saturday night was quite a night. We bbq’d, played bean bag and prolly drank 12 or so beers apiece. We then decided to have a bonfire. We got sick of beer and polished off a bottle of rum and whiskey. My oh my what a trip!!!!. The pic on the left sums up what we ended up doing that night. It also involved smacking each other in the ass with a whiffle ball bat. damn those things hurt. Paul, PJ, Erik, Marti, Heather, Mike, Kim, and myself had one hellufa night at Kubacki’s Iron works and forging. Y’all missed out on a doozy. I look at these pics(located in New Pictures section) and wonder what the hell we were thinking. There was definatley something in the liquor saturday night. So those of you who know me fairly well know that I have a tendancy to sprain my ankle while drunk. 4 times in the last 2 years to be exact. Halloween, new years, two weeks after new years, and my last birthday. Well folks, chalk up number 5. I did it two nights ago. I got up around 3am to drain the tank(funny, i never do that). well my right leg was very asleep and i stood up and my ankle just folded like paper. I could hear the carnage and cartalidge ripping once again. I’m sure my ankle is asking how did this happen again. I’ve got my first mt. bike race in just over 3 weeks here folks. Bad timing. Today it feels ok and I think i’ll be able to ride. I was planning a good 70miler but we’ll see how the ankle holds up. Things have finally settled to just slightly stressful at the shop these days. two weeks ago I almost quit. seriously. Its going good now, and I’m loving wrenching once again. The newbies are working out great, and they are easy to get along with. Life is good at the shop….for now. Enough for today, time to finish off the coffee and toast, then head out on a nice ride. A bit chilly today, but its gotta be done. I’m out. Love. Peace. Bicycle grease.
